This intensive childhood immunisation course for new practice nurses is delivered over a full day by an experienced advanced nurse practitioner and expert speaker. The course provides an excellent insight into the role of the practice nurse and the skills required to safely deliver child immunisations.
Childhood immunisation administration is a vital role for the practice nurse and this course is ideal for the nurse new to practice nursing.
All delegates are issued a practice nurse manual, and certificates of attendance from Practice Nurse Training.
Lunch and refreshments are provided.
This course can be taken as a standalone day or as part of our three day Introduction to Practice Nursing Course.

All delegates are provided with the most current guidelines, schedules and immunisation updates.
We inform all the delegates that the national minimum standards for immunisation training does recommended 2 days of study or 10 hours of Elearning so once they have completed the days immunisation course they then need to do the E-learning For Health Care - Vaccine Preventable Disease Module which allows nurses to look in detail about the actual diseases.
We advise all nurses to attend annual childhood immunisation updates in their local authority and also look out for current changes on the Public Health England website
